(1993-2004) In her previous work, Emre Okçuer put together carbonized, gray, colorless paintings and installations out of the grit and soot she had gathered from boilers, smokestacks and chimneys, in order to allude to the dramatic solitude and nihilistic helplessness of the modern consumer society.
Unlike others in this study,
by installing the engine, the gears are provided with a function.
As soon as the motion sensor is activated, the gears start to turn and so the interaction begins with people.
